Midnight Blue Headpieces – Fit for a Queen of the Night!
Evening all! Not looking forward to the mundanity of a grey day at work tomorrow? Me neither. Here, have some beautiful and sumptuous headpieces in silky midnight blue.
A blue tam o’shanter that has featured as Minnie Powell’s crowning symbol of her beauty in ‘The Shadow of a Gunman,’ as well as recently featuring in a version of ‘The Magic Flute’ that features costumes of a mish-mash of eras and cultures. A beautiful hat – Delicate and yet bold. Notably feminine.
And then we have this flowery headpiece. This took centre stage in ‘The Magic Flute,’ atop the head of our powerful Queen of the Night. I wanted to give the actress greater height to add to her dominant character, and the bright blue shone out boldly under the stage lights!
I adore creating headpieces, especially trying to figure out how to make something specific from a photograph or from history. Any suggestions for a piece you would like created?
Hope these pieces have enlivened your morning!
